The Hayward's Heath Hoardings

Network Rail and Kier commissioned me through their partnership company Solum to create a colossal hoarding artwork at Haywards Heath train station. To achieve this, I also enlisted the help of children from six local schools and colleges. I was asked to use the the local area as a starting point for my research. I discovered that there is a distinct Sussex dialect which comprises of many unique and wonderful words, like Boffled which means to be confused, and Gurt which means big. Then a number of workshops took place using the now obsolete Sussex dialect as the theme. I curated some of this artwork and fused it with my own illustrations to produce this exciting and colourful artwork.
